Peter Wright

Peter is a partner in McKinsey’s Southern California office and one of the leaders of McKinsey’s biotechnology work in the US. He serves a broad range of Life Sciences leaders and innovators as they navigate key inflection points to achieve accelerated growth and patient impact.

Peter works extensively in oncology as part of McKinsey Cancer Center where he leads research and convenes stakeholders on evolution of the US oncology landscape and opportunities to address gaps in cancer care. 

Prior to joining McKinsey, Peter helped develop scalable, fully synthetic approaches to tetracycline and macrolide antibiotics during a PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University and was an Entrepreneurial Fellow at Flagship Ventures. He grew up in the UK and gained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from St. John’s College, Oxford.
