2025 Walk series inspired allies across the country

Every year, thousands of passionate supporters step forward — some in memory, some in hope, and many in solidarity — to take part in the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s Walk to End Colon Cancer.
This year’s event series was nothing short of extraordinary. Across nine cities nationwide, our community showed what’s possible when compassion, determination, and action meet on the pavement to #WalkLoud.

The Walk was also assisted by the generous dedication of 217 volunteers across nine cities.
Every step taken and every dollar raised helped move the mission forward in ways that will be felt long after the finish line.
Across the nation, Tampa launched the season with nearly 1,000 participants and raised more than $64,000. Denver, Cleveland, Phoenix, and Philadelphia raised the bar on impact, welcoming more than 1,000 walkers and raising over $100,000 per city.
Adding to the impact of the Walk to End Colon Cancer, DC ScopeItOut — a walk around the National Mall occurring every March — raised more than $330,000 across 118 teams.
Walk participation sparks vital awareness, encouraging conversations, screenings, and early detection. At the same time, the Walk supports critical prevention programs and patient services — ensuring those facing colorectal cancer aren’t alone.
And those who #WalkLoud also fuel research that brings us closer to new treatments. In the last year alone, the Alliance's Project Cure CRC has invested in more than 30 new research projects innovating how we will end this disease.
“Whether you walked for yourself, a loved one, or simply because you care, your commitment powered extraordinary momentum this year,” said Michael Sapienza, CEO of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. “Thank you for showing up, stepping forward, and helping bring us closer to a world free of colorectal cancer.”
Next year’s Walk to End Colon Cancer dates will be listed on the Alliance’s event calendar as they become available for registration.

Project Cure CRC, a $100 million initiative by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (Alliance), continues to revolutionize colorectal cancer research by announcing three new groundbreaking grants aimed at transforming patient care.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s 2025 Blue Hope Bash in Washington, D.C., raised $2.1 million for colorectal cancer awareness, research, and patient support.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance mourns the passing of Alison Kiehl Friedman, a tireless advocate, policy leader, board member, mom, wife, and beloved member of our community, whose impact will continue to shape our mission for years to come.
